THE 2010 SEASON of the Korean professional baseball league came to a close this October. Yet the year of 2010 will be remembered by Korean baseball fans. With plenty of significant new records, the year could be called a “fruitful year.” Ryu Hyun-jin (Hanwha Eagles), who achieved quality starts for 23 consecutive matches within a season, and Lee Dae-ho (Lotte Giants), who hit homeruns in 9 successive games, set new world records. In addition, Park Chan-ho (Pittsburgh Pirates) earned the 124thd win on Oct. 1, setting the most wins record for Asian pitchers in Major League.
