"Y-K-R (Yonsei-Keio-Rikkyo) LEA-DERSHIP Forum 2004" was held at the Col. of Law building, under the title "Changing Leadership in Northeast Asia", hosted by YLC (Yonsei Leadership Center) from Aug. 18 to 22.

The forum was first held in 2002, following the successful 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup. The motto of 2002 Leadership Forum was "Korea-Japan Relations After the World Cup" and was held at Yonsei Univ. in Korea.

This year's forum consisted of lectures on politics, NGO, culture and debates about some topics. "During the last two years, the school authorities prepared almost all forums. However, in this year, students prepared and operated all programs," said Lee Doo-won (Div. of International, YLC).

Some students pointed out that due to the tight schedule, there was not enough time to become familiar with each other. "As we oriented and led the whole forum, we were always busy preparing the forum. There was not enough time to know each other," quoted Yoon Joon-chul (Sr., Dept. of Sociology).

However, many participants showed a positive reaction about this forum in general. "Through this forum, I realized that Northeast Asia and leaders in this area are changing in various fields," said Nakao Hitomi (Keio Univ.). It is planned that Rikkyo Univ. will host "The Y-K-R Leadership Forum" in summer, 2005.
