The 2013 matriculation ceremony took place on Feb. 28. Thousands of friends, families, and students took their seats at the Amphitheater steps. The ceremony was rather brief, only taking about 30 minutes. They were kept company by the Yonsei Wind Orchestra that provided the music for the duration of the ceremony. The main event was the matriculation address given President Jeong Kap-young, who delivered a message of encouragement and welcome for the freshmen in the audience. Even after the ceremony had ended, the theater was overflowing with families of students taking photographs to commemorate the event.
