WITH A sponsorship of urology medical hospital of Yonsei Univ., “2005 Severance Urological Symposium-Dr. Patrick C. Walsh “was held in urological medical hospital in Oct. 8 for celebrating new opening and 120th anniversary of foundation of Severance Hospital.

   This symposium charged for discussing and researching prostate cancer and thinking about how to heal it. Including Dr. Patrick C. Walsh, a pioneer of prostate cancer, many professors from abroad including Japan, China, Canada, etc. participated in this symposium. Faculties of Col. of Med. and major doctors also presented.  

   This symposium was held in six sections, from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Each section contained titles like “detection of prostate cancer”, “prostate cancer overview”. “Management of prostate cancer”, ‘”basic research of prostate cancer”, “new perspectives of prostate cancer”. Participants debated these titles, in the end, a lecture of Dr. Walsh completed this symposium.

   “I was sorry that the seats for students and professors’ seats were limited but this symposium had a great meaning because this symposium led a prominent way to healing
