▲ Students constantly visited the job booths at Baikyang-ro.
THE 2005 Yonsei Univ. Job Fair was held at Baikyang-ro from Sept. 5 to 6. It was co-hosted by SA (Student Association) and Job Information Center, and the number of participating companies increased to 67 from 38 last year. For two days, an average of 150 students consulted with employers at each booth.
According to Dir. Jeong Dae-won (Dept. of Intelligence & Information of SA), the job fair was planned not only for those who are preparing for employment, but for those who are not as well. "We wanted to give specific and easy-to-reach recruiting information to seniors and let them think about their future,"says Dir. Jeong.
"The job fair was very helpful to me. I met employers and got information I need directly. What's more, I didn't have to spend days visiting every separate company or its website. It was easy for me to compare different companies' requirements as well as opportunities at one place," said Ok Jeong-woo (Sr., Dept. of Arch. Engin.). Job Information Center will present the results of the survey questioning the companies and students in October as well as solicit feedback. The answers should serve as a guideline that helps Yonseians prepare for their future careers.
