EC (Europe Commission) DECLARED Yonsei Univ. as one of the main partners for
ETP Korea (Executive Training Program in Korea). This contract means EC selects
Yonsei Univ. as one of the most enhanced programs for corporate executives.
To get success at a competition, which was held in Brussels,
Sangnam Institute submitted a proposal with three other prominent educational
institutes in Europe; Sciences Po, (Ecole Libre des Sciences Politique in Paris,
France), the School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London,
U.K.), and Bocconi University (Private University in Milan, Italy). Yonsei, as a
partner, will offer 15 advanced courses including extensive Korean language and
business from March 2007 to Oct. 2007. The courses provide lectures, seminars,
company visits, and internships.
"Korea is the 6th biggest market
in the world. Korea is more attractive for European investors compared to China,
since Koreans demand more sophisticated high-tech products," says Jo Hee-woo
from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Germany. "This winning shows Yonsei
has a global superior status compared to other universities in Korea," says Choi
Sun-mee (Assistant Prof., School of Business.)
Definitely, this
signing of ETP Korea is one way of achieving Yonsei Univ.'s slogan "From Yonsei,
out to the world." |
