THE UNMANNED guard system was newly introduced in Engineering Halls I, II, and III in October. Although the new system allows the school to greatly reduce expenses on security, a mass dismissal of security guards will be inevitable. One guard in Theology Hall says, “Most of the guards at school are over 60 years old, so I understand that it would be much more efficient to introduce the new system. On the other hand, I believe that a few guards should remain, as they have other jobs such as maintaining the surroundings neatly and carrying heavy things.” Yonsei Univ. plans to implement the system in all school buildings by the end of November, 2008.
