Free online lectures at the e-Learning Center
TAKE A moment to recall your first time making a PowerPoint presentation. How well-made was the output? Students encounter many activities which require use of a variety of computer programs, but many fail to make the best use of those programs. Luckily, the e-Learning Center at the Yonsei Univ. Office of Information Systems (OIS) provides Yonseians with free online lectures involving various kinds of computer programs.
What it is
The e-Learning Center is a project that was started back in 2005 by the OIS. The OIS has been purchasing online lectures and supplying those lectures to Yonseians free of charge. "The lectures are provided so that Yonseians can expand their knowledge regarding various software programs that are greatly used these days. The lectures are
not presented at an expert's level, so they are introductory lectures which are in-depth enough for students to learn the basics," says Seok Won-seok (Manager, OIS).
How to access
The free online lectures can not only help Yonseians to deal with complex programs for doing assignments and projects, but can also provide background knowledge to those who are interested in the field of IT. Every Yonseian can access the e-Learning Center with his or her Yonsei Portal ID. The website, http://yis.yonsei.ac.kr, has a link to the e-Learning Center.
