As a consistent 3-year subscriber to The Yonsei Annals, I think it has always contained impressive articles and also those that are not so appealing. For the May issue of the Annals, it appeared to me that it is maturing and settling in as a high-quality university English magazine. Especially a balanced combination of student-related topics such as problems of housing near universities and global internships were appropriate. Yet, to criticize, there were some irrelevant photos and over-exaggerated designs in the articles. Although this criticism is trivial, I think the Annals should be aware that readers are relatively sensitive to visual effects, and are easily influenced by them. Simplicity, in my personal opinion, is the virtue of reading articles. By becoming more sensitive to the way it chooses photographs and its article design, in the end, through more effort, I hope that the Annals becomes not just a high-quality magazine but the best in Korea.
