Yonsei Model United Nations (YMUN) 2010 (Jan. 15 ~ Jan. 17)

Yonsei Model United Nations (YMUN) 2010 took place from Jan. 15 to 17. It was held by  Yonsei Delegation for Model United Nations (YDMUN), which previously won the National Model United Nations in 2009. YDMUN was first established in 2004, to participate in the Nation Model United Nations (NMUN) 2005. From then, they took part in NMUN every year, swiping group and individual prizes. To share such experiences and tips with high school students, they founded YMUN in 2008, under the agenda of "Regionalism: The new wave in the era of inundated globalization". This year, Pre-MUN, a comprehensive guidance program for inexperienced students not completely familiar with the procedures of Model United Nations, was also held. These students were given an intensive and thorough orientation a day prior to YMUN. YMUN consisted of five committees: General Assembly, Economic and Social Council, Security Council, World Health Organization, and Futuristic Regional Committee 2050. "I participated to meet peope with a common interest, who would inspire me to achieve my goals. It was a great opportunity to get along with such people in a friendly atmosphere," says Jee Ha-neul (12th grade, Jungshin Women's High School), who was awarded as the Best Delegate of the Security Council Committee.
