"Saudi Arabia Week," held by the Yonsei Global, took place for three days, from March 30 to April 1. On March 30, Arabic conversation was taught by Shewayman Ahmad (Soph., Dept. of Electrical & Electronic Engin.) and Min Woong-ki (Sr., Dept. of Political Science & Int. Studies), and on March 31, Kim Jong-do (Research Prof., Dept. of Arab Regional Studies, Myongji Univ.) lectured on "Why the Arab, Mideast, and Islam is Significant." The main event took place on the last day; students could taste Saudi Arabian foods and try the henna (a type of tattoo) and shisha (an Arabic water-pipe). Shewayman said, "I was happy to introduce Saudi Arabian culture to Korean students, and the event was quite successful in this aspect."
