WITH DELIVERY apps, food in South Korea can be brought right to your doorstep—but at whose expense? While we can slip right back into the refuge of our air-conditioned apartments, deliverymen must battle the ongoing heatwave. Each summer in Korea has become progressively hotter, making their job arduous. Deliverymen do their best to endure the unforgiving scorching heat while they are covered head to toe with protective clothing and a mask. As soon as they complete a delivery, another order pings their phone, notifying them of their next route. With no time to catch their breath, they hop back onto their motorcycle, hoping that summer will end soon.
