THE SPECIAL orientation of class 2005 celebrating the 120th anniversary of Yonsei Univ. was held at Jangchung Gymnasium on Feb. 15.
Hosted by the SA (Student Association), freshmen participated in the orientation. This year the orientation took place outside a campus due to the renovation construction of the Auditorium. "We had no option but Jangchung Gymnasium because it was the only place available on the 15th," explains Lee Hyuk, vice Pres. of SA.
The program was divided into three parts. First part was composed of general introduction of school life in Yonsei Univ. The second included congratulatory performance by popular singers such as Jaurim and No Brain. Followed by the performance, Pres. Jung Chang-young gave a complimentary speech of welcome to freshmen of 2005. The third was cheering orientation led by the Yonsei Yell Leader. "While learning cheering, I felt a glow of pride to be a Yonseian. I am looking forward to AKARAKA and Yon-Ko Fete," says Im Hyun-sang (Fresh., Dept. of Econ.).
Unfortunately, several problems arose related to lunch supplies and insufficient number of seats; The SA have miss-expected the number of participants. The defect in management questioned how much preparation work was done by the SA.
The remained schedule was held until Feb. 17.
