Events Celebrating Yonsei 120th Anniversary

YONSEI UNIV. held a blood drive from May 2 to 10 as a part of its 120th Anniversary celebration. The event took place in front of the Central Library, the Underwood Statue, the Gymnasium and the 2nd floor of the Student Union from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The blood drive was hosted by the Korean Red Cross's Central Blood-center and the SA (Student Association) to help patients at the Severance Hospital suffering from leukemia and other blood related diseases. The hosts of the drive offered prizes to the 893 students who contributed their blood to the cause. It is only a fraction of the 1200 that the school expected but awareness and participation has increased greatly from last year.
Starting in July, the school will give access to Red Cross buses to the campus to raise more blood for Severance Hospital. The blood draw will also take place at the Wonju Campus, from April 25 to June 30.
