An indie movie theater InD and Classic Music Room
SPENDING BUSY days swamped with class assignments and surprise exams? When you want to rest and enjoy your cultural life, don’t look too far away. InD and Classic Music Room inside the campus are just the right places for you.
InD
♦ Location: Seongam Hall 3F
♦ Purpose: InD shows non-commercial indie films, which are not well-known to the general public.
♦ Purpose: InD shows non-commercial indie films, which are not well-known to the general public.
♦ Price: The audience is encouraged to donate 2,000 per movie.
♦ History: Opened Nov. 1, 2006.
♦ How it works: In cooperation with CJ Entertainment, InD generally shows one film everyday at 6:00 p.m., except Thursday. All InD films shown are chosen by CJ Entertainment and The Graduate School of Journalism & Mass Comm.
♦ Facilities: 60 comfortable sofas are waiting for the audience.
♦ Programs: Film lists can be checked on http://cafe.naver.com/cinespace.cafe
♦ What’s more: InD is the first movie theater founded inside the campus. It was constructed in order to provide broader cultural experiences for college students and indie movie maniacs. The audience may get a chance to talk to the director of the films after the movie finishes. It could be a wonderful experience for pre-movie makers.

Classic Music Room

♦ Opening hours: 10:00 a.m. ~ 5:00 p.m.
♦ Purpose: For Yonseians who are interested in classic music, this place provides a comfortable space to listen to the assorted classic pieces chosen by “Harmony.”
♦ History: It opened in 1975 and has been run by the *dongahree* “Harmony” ever since. It was renovated, in 2002, into what it has become now.
♦ How it works: The music selecting manager selects pieces categorized into symphony, orchestra, concerto, chamber, solo, opera, sacred and vocals. The members of Harmony take charge of the DJ booth in turn.
♦ Facilities: About ten comfortable sofas, hundreds of classic CDs and records, a DJ booth, an LCD TV to show DVD films.
♦ What’s more: It’s an open place where students can have some peaceful rest, while listening to relaxing classic music. They can also study or read books on comfortable sofas. Music requests can be made at the DJ booth.
