A CHARITY market for funding was held in front of the library on May 1 by the Yonsei Global (YG). The event was held in order to encourage the participation of both international students and Korean students in the activity of charity. The event was composed of three parts: commodity sales, foodstuffs and recreation. 

   The director of the event Yoo Jai-eun (Soph., UIC, Dept. of Business Admin) said, “We planned this charity to share the joy of helping the others. Since many university students lack time but have the desire to serve one’s community, we believe that the charity market could give students the opportunity to help those in need.” Moreover, the separate fund raising supported by an external charity group, the Beautiful Store, made the students aware of the activity and led their participation.

   Every part of the charity market was busy and crowded with students selling and buying until the event was over. All the money gained through these activities are planned to be used for fund raising with the help of the Beautiful Store. Through the charity Yonseians could participate in sharing love with our left - out neighbors, a virtue that harmonize well with May.
