Lee Kee-joon (Chief, Predoctoral Student Clinic)

Dental college students working in the Predoctoral Clinic are all qualified to treat patients with general dental  problems because they already passed the pre-clinic test. Students discuss the result of diagnosis with professors and they practice according to the set protocol. If the problems of the patients are too complicated and need more  intensive care, we can connect them with the professional department of the Dental Hospital. Also, the Predoctoral Clinic operates a patient-oriented system with 14 faculty professors and 39 outsourced professors, who supervise 66 dental college students and directly consult with patients. Moreover, patients can receive comprehensive preventive treatment for free following their examination.

Reporter Park's experience at the Predoctoral Student Clinic

"I knew I had a cavity when I felt pain while eating. When I first visited other dental clinics off-campus, I was shocked to learn that the price was too high for a college student to afford. One day, one of my friends told me
about the Predoctoral Student Clinic so I visited there because she said it is much cheaper and located on campus. I was satisfied with the thorough examination and treatment I was given as well as the reasonable price, which is only one third of other dental clinics. I made an appointment by calling the reception desk. I went through several examinations including an X-ray for free! After I consulted with the doctor in charge of me about my dental health, she decided the direction of treatment and then received confirmation by the professor. At first, I was worried about the fact that college students, not professors, are treating me, but I was relieved when I found out that they are supervised by professors even during routine procedures."
